Tweens and teens face more challenges than ever and unfortunately, bullying has reached a whole new level with social media and texting. This group has been created to help your son or daughter know the ins and outs of bullying and how to be resilient against all the forms of bullying and cyber bullying.

In this group your tween or teen will learn how to stand up for themselves, use their voice and increase their confidence when talking to others. They will practice practical strategies that they can use to be more resistant to bullying and skills to become positive leaders. In addition, your son or daughter will also learn techniques to develop lasting self-esteem, good feelings about themselves and compassion towards others.

This group is led by Kimberlee Bow, MA, LPC, R-DMT, CT and/or Anya Beebe, MA, LPC, Art Therapist and Parenting Coach, along with one of our qualified interns and/or staff members.

*Parents are strongly encouraged to attend the last 15 minutes of this group as there are skill building activities planned for you and your child to do together. This time is also intended for the transfer of skills from the therapist to the parent so that you can reinforce what the children have learned at home.

*Please note, because of the high response and enrollment of girls for this group, we have changed this to a girls only group.  If you are interested in enrolling your son, please let us know as we may open another section.
