Develop A Gratitude Ritual

Rituals are quite powerful. Often rituals are referenced to in the context of a religious practice. However, rituals are not exclusive to religion but rather a practice that can be used everyday or are already apart of our everyday life. For example, maybe in the morning you have ritual to wake up and drink coffee or tea before your day takes off. A similar idea can be taken with gratitude by developing a gratitude ritual.

Here are a few examples:

  • Have board where everyone in the family in the morning or evening pins a gratitude from the day.
  • After waking up in the morning, tell you significant other or your kids how much you appreciate that they are in your life.
  • Have a gratitude jar where everyone in the family can drop a gratitude note to someone in the family and at the end of the month the family takes some time to look over them.
