Present Moment Awareness

Time seems to go by so quickly these days. Sometimes we miss the joy of the present moment because we are either thinking about everything we have to do (the future) or thinking about missed opportunities or regrets (the past). Try spending more time in the present moment and appreciating what is currently happening. Some days, it may seem like the only thing you can find is that you are breathing. Other days you may find that there are so many different things to appreciate.

One great way to help really engage in the present moment is to use the five senses! Your senses can bring you a lot of information. For example, you can tune into the warmth of the sun on your skin or the smell of the leaves that have fallen off the trees.
