Gratitude Practice – Thankful Tree

Original oil painting showing beautiful Autumn forest on canvas. Modern Impressionism

Thankful Tree

The Thankful Tree can be done with family, friends, and even coworkers.

  1. Take a walk in nature and collect broken off branches. Take advantage of this time as well and enjoy the present moment and the time in nature.
  2. When you have a few branches arrange them in a pot. This is another opportunity to engage your creative side. Decorate the pot using the theme of gratitude. This can be done by yourself or with friends, family, or coworkers depending on the setting you will be using the tree.
  3. Cut out different shape pieces of paper that provide space for written gratitudes and punch a hole so string or ribbon can be attached.
  4. Leave the shapes out for yourself and others to take advantage of writing a gratitude and hanging it on the tree!
