Gratitude Practice – Volunteer

Original oil painting showing beautiful Autumn forest on canvas. Modern Impressionism

Volunteering has been shown to be of benefit in multiple ways. These benefits extend to all parties including the person doing the volunteering. First, decide what causes are most important to you. Maybe it is bullying prevention or maybe it is Alzheimer’s disease. There are many causes our there and each of us has a heart for a different cause. Next, pick an organization that you believe in and aligns with the cause you wish to make a difference in. Then spend some time volunteering by yourself or make it a family activity where everyone does it together. After the volunteer shift is over, to add a cherry on top spend some time reflecting on the gratitude aspect of the volunteer opportunity and/or what you are thankful for in your life.

See you out there in the community!
